For many years, Morgan Watkins has served on the Board of Directors, been an active volunteer and public speaker for Guide Dogs for the Blind. He retired in 2008 from a 30-year career with the University of Texas at Austin. He and his wife, DD, have one son, Richard. Morgan has enjoyed traveling safely with two Golden Retriever Guide Dogs, Fantom and Will.

Emily Simone is a Colorado Native, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from The Colorado College in 1989.  She has worked at Guide Dogs for the Blind Inc. since 1990, as a California Licensed Guide Dog instructor.   Emily received a Master’s Degree in Blind Rehabilitation-Orientation and Mobility, from San Francisco State University in 2002.    In her current position as Senior Field Manager, Emily provides follow-up assistance, support, and Orientation & Mobility services to Guide Dog graduates in Central California and Colorado.
