LBWF is a non- profit, 501c3 tax deductible organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, neglected, and abandon animals from the harsh streets of the Los Angeles area, as well as from the overcrowded and overwhelmed city and county animal shelters.

The foundation consists of Linda Blair, award-winning actress, humanitarian, and recipient of the coveted Los Angeles Proclamation, dedicated friends, supporters, and many wonderful volunteers.

As a child, Ms. Blair was taught to respect all animal life, and had aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. As an adult and public figure, she has chosen to shed light on the crisis in America that we call animal cruelty. Ms. Blair realized this task was bigger than her lone efforts and felt it necessary to ask for help by becoming The Linda Blair WorldHeart Foundation, a 501c3 California non-profit organization.

LBWF is a unique safe haven for animals providing top-quality, life long care to the animals it rescues. The emphasis is on proper nutrition, first class medical care, comfortable facilities, training, socializing, and of course, an abundance of love. We ensure that every animal has a second chance at life, as well as a forever, loving home.

Using Ms. Blair’s status as a public figure, we bring much needed attention to growing problems surrounding animal welfare. Calling upon the media as an outlet, we are able to educate and raise awareness on important issues such as pet overpopulation, dog fighting, the senseless ideals behind breed specific banning, and the most recent crisis animals who fall victim of home foreclosures in our tough economic times.

LBWF’s journey came full circle with the acquisition of a properly A2 zoned property in Acton, CA, after three long years of searching. The property is beautiful and provides a great temporary home to these animals that have been through so much. Much has been accomplished, but we still need help!

Buildings for shelter from high desert winds and cold, fencing, play yards, and plumbing installation, to name a few, are absolute necessities. Our goal is to build a reliable and smooth-running facility in order to bring Linda back to the forefront, educating the public about critical animal issues such as overpopulation.
