Jackie Fahey

Jackie Fahey is the Director of Animal Welfare for St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison, N.J.   Jackie has worked in the animal field for over 30 years, starting as an Animal Control Officer and through education and experience is now overseeing two shelter locations.  Jackie has been testing and handling dogs and cats for 25 years to ensure that all animals go into a "forever" home to avoid returns to the shelter.  Jackie oversees the shelter outreach program, bringing unwanted animals into New Jersey from other overcrowded shelters the southern states of the United States, as well as Puerto Rico.  Thousands of animals are euthanized each year due to overcrowding, and with Jackie's help, these animals have now found ever-lasting, loving homes.  Jackie also provides consulting services for other shelters advising them on adoption practices, temperament evaluations and shelter protocols.
