Dr. Harry Smith

Harry Smith, DVM (Medical Director, South Carolina Region) Dr. Harry Smith is a 1982 graduate of Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Smith has practiced in large group practices and owned his own practice for 13 years.  Dr. Smith joined Banfield in 2003 as a charter owner and now owns three charter Banfield hospitals in the Charleston, SC area.  In 2010, he became the Medical Director for the South Carolina market and he oversees all the hospitals in this area.  In his current role, Dr. Smith loves mentoring doctors.  In addition, he feels that in many ways he becomes a part of his client’s family when he becomes their veterinarian.  He and his wife ave two children, Emma and Kyle as well as a Portuguese water dog named Pach’e and a Bichon Frise named Chloe.  He also has a cat named Ben.
