Debora M. Bresch, Esq.


    Debora joined the ASPCA in November 2001.  In her capacity as Senior Director of Government Relations, she drafts and lobbies for passage of animal-friendly legislation; has contributed amicus curiae to legal proceedings on behalf of animals; and advises legislators, law enforcement, and individuals regarding questions concerning animals and the law.  Debora recently helped form and became president of Connecticut Votes for Animals and chair of Connecticut Votes for Animals-PAC, a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization and political action committee, respectively, dedicated to the legislative advancement of animals.  Debora also serves as vice chair of the American Bar Association's Animal Law Committee and co-chair of the Humane Education Subcommittee and has created, moderated, and spoken on a variety of panels sponsored by the New York City Bar Association's Committee on Issues Pertaining to Animals.  She is also involved in animal rescue, is married to Michael, a resident physician, and is guardian to Ellie, an American StaffordshireTerrier, and Mae, a pit bull/boxer mix.  


 

NYCHA Tenants Rights: Residents of NYC Housing Authority Must Register Pets By January 31st


Through January 31, 2010: Dogs of any breed may be registered if 40 pounds or less. After January 31: Dogs may be registered if 25 pounds or less and not a purebred/mixed breed Pit Bull, Rottweiler, or Doberman Pinscher. Only one dog or one cat will continue to be allowed.
