Captain Paul Hebert ..........................

..

Jon Patch talks to Captain Paul Hebert from the Nat Geo TV show, Wicked Tuna.  Wicked Tuna follows the rod and reel fishermen who ply the frigid waters of the North Atlantic in hopes of catching the valuable bluefin tuna. When one bluefin can bring in as much as $20,000 - they'll do whatever it takes to hook up.

It’s a battle of wills on the North Atlantic, as two of Gloucester’s top Bluefin fishermen, friends-turned-foes Paul Hebert and Dave Carraro, go head-to-head in a bid to out-fish each other.

Last week, Dave fired Paul Hebert as first mate on FV-tuna.com – and it was just the push Paul needed to make his dream of becoming a skipper a reality. Now, Paul’s captaining new boat Lisa & Jake – and he’s called on his older brother Bruce, a Bluefin fishing legend, to join him in his mission to smash his old employer.

On FV-tuna.com, Dave is spooked by Paul’s quick transition into captaining a competing boat. The talk around the Gloucester fleet has always been that a huge part of the boat’s success was due to Paul, and now Dave’s out to prove that he and Sandro can maintain their reputation as the season’s top boat – without Paul.

The dramatic change-up on Gloucester’s most successful Bluefin boat has the whole fleet talking about – and picking a side – in the Paul versus Dave battle.

On Pin Wheel, young captain Tyler McLaughlin and his mates hope to capitalize on Dave’s diverted attention and retake their place at the top of the leaderboard. They take a chance by fishing next to a scallop boat at night – a potentially lucrative but very dangerous technique.

For captains Bill Monte, of the Bounty Hunter, and Dave Marciano, of the Hard Merchandise, the idea of another boat entering the competition increases the pressure. These two boats have not had much luck so far this season, so it’s crunch time.

With only five weeks left in the Bluefin Tuna season, Paul has a limited opportunity to step up as a captain and make a name for himself and his new boat. Will he sink or swim?
