Commercial pet food had a beginning in the late 1800's but natural pet food goes way back to over 10,000 years ago when human walked with dog. There was no commercial pet food in sight!  Master Pet Chef Micki Voisard gives a short overview of commercial pet food, it's contents in the late 50's compared to today. Micki also gives an idea of what to look for in a better commercial food and she gives the natural food Tip of the Week along with answering a question on whether it is a good idea to mix natural food with commercial pet food.
