Vicki LaVerdiere Nixon
Vicki is the owner of Simon & LouLou's Playhouse, “Natural Products for Pampered Pets”. She began the store in 2003, as her dream to help her own 3 Bichons and the Bichons she brought in through rescue, to get the very best health benefits she could provide so that they could live long and healthy lives. Vicki has spent time and research on finding the right natural products that have been successful in helping the many dogs she’s cared for that suffered in health from extremely poor diets, infected ears, rotten teeth, arthritis & joint pain and severe allergies. Vicki offers pet nutrition consultations privately and on a group basis. Most importantly, she is proud to offer 10% of all proceeds from her store to various animal rescue groups monthly.
Vicki has also been active in dog rescue since 2001. For 2 years, she volunteered as a Team Leader for a national dog breed rescue where she coordinated rescue and volunteers in 2 states. Currently, she volunteers with several other state-wide rescues with fund-raising and assisting where needed. Vicki began and coordinates an annual event called Dog Days of Summer held in Lapeer, Michigan. This event is a fun day for people and their pets and the money raised benefits various rescue groups.
Helping others help their precious pets is something Vicki really enjoys. When our pampered pooches are healthy and feeling good – WE FEEL GOOD! She is always striving to find natural ways to treat her own 3 Bichons and those she can help along the way.
