Cheryl Kaye: Hi, everybody, we're ready to start.
00:01:39.542 --> 00:01:41.302
Cheryl Kaye: Michelle Fern is with us.
00:01:41.302 --> 00:01:43.402
Cheryl Kaye: Let's give her a great big hello.
00:01:43.402 --> 00:01:44.202
Cheryl Kaye: Hello.
00:01:44.202 --> 00:01:46.082
Michelle Fern: Hi, Cheryl, thanks for having me.
00:01:46.082 --> 00:01:47.062
Cheryl Kaye: My pleasure.
00:01:47.062 --> 00:01:51.682
Cheryl Kaye: So let's get started, and we got some really great products.
00:01:51.682 --> 00:01:57.142
Cheryl Kaye: So you're gonna start off with the first one, which is amazing.
00:01:57.142 --> 00:02:00.762
Michelle Fern: So Cheryl, we have a lot of great products for the holidays.
00:02:00.762 --> 00:02:07.002
Michelle Fern: And you know, it's a great time to pamper your four-legged friend or hate yourself.
00:02:07.002 --> 00:02:11.502
Michelle Fern: But you know, we're all about doing things for our pooches and our cats.
00:02:11.502 --> 00:02:14.722
Michelle Fern: So first, I have to tell you about Chef Paw.
00:02:14.722 --> 00:02:27.942
Michelle Fern: Chef Paw is a product that it actually chops, mixes, cooks, and has a built-in scale, and it is self-cleaning to make food for your dog.
00:02:27.942 --> 00:02:31.602
Michelle Fern: They have an app that works with it, so you can go on the app and get recipes.
00:02:32.082 --> 00:02:35.842
Michelle Fern: They have all dog recipes now, but cat recipes are coming.
00:02:35.842 --> 00:02:38.582
Michelle Fern: This is perfect for you, because you cook for Tilly.
00:02:38.582 --> 00:02:39.982
Cheryl Kaye: Yes, and it's great.
00:02:39.982 --> 00:02:43.242
Cheryl Kaye: So if it makes life easier, then it's great.
00:02:43.242 --> 00:02:46.442
Michelle Fern: Yes, and I'm not going to mention the price.
00:02:46.442 --> 00:02:49.762
Michelle Fern: Everyone listening, you can go to chefpaw.com.
00:02:49.762 --> 00:03:04.002
Michelle Fern: So it's a little bit of an investment at first, but when you think about how much people pay for raw food, or even fresh food that they purchase or gets delivered, that can cost up to $1,000 a month.
00:03:04.002 --> 00:03:09.462
Cheryl Kaye: Well, I have to tell you, when I cook for Tilly, I start off with my step stool.
00:03:09.462 --> 00:03:15.962
Cheryl Kaye: So that's dangerous to begin with, to get the pots and the pans out, you have to shop for it.
00:03:15.962 --> 00:03:19.622
Cheryl Kaye: If you get anything that's frozen, you have to defrost it.
00:03:19.622 --> 00:03:21.922
Cheryl Kaye: So it all adds up.
00:03:21.922 --> 00:03:26.462
Cheryl Kaye: But I'm rarely curious about the recipes to see what they have.
00:03:26.462 --> 00:03:28.302
Michelle Fern: Let me tell you, I made some of these.
00:03:28.722 --> 00:03:32.602
Michelle Fern: And actually, when we were watching Tilly, I made some for Tilly.
00:03:32.602 --> 00:03:33.522
Michelle Fern: Sorry.
00:03:33.522 --> 00:03:36.222
Michelle Fern: And I'm not a chef or a cook.
00:03:36.222 --> 00:03:40.342
Michelle Fern: My significant other does all the cooking, and I'm not a DeVi cleanup.
00:03:40.342 --> 00:03:43.742
Michelle Fern: But I love the fact that this is all in one.
00:03:43.742 --> 00:03:45.622
Michelle Fern: So it's super easy.
00:03:45.622 --> 00:03:46.822
Michelle Fern: We're all busy today.
00:03:46.822 --> 00:03:48.182
Michelle Fern: We're running around.
00:03:48.182 --> 00:03:52.302
Michelle Fern: You know, technology made your life easier, but not for everything.
00:03:52.302 --> 00:03:54.522
Michelle Fern: We still have to run around and do all of that.
00:03:54.522 --> 00:03:56.802
Michelle Fern: And this does everything all at once.
00:03:57.402 --> 00:03:58.582
Michelle Fern: So I love it.
00:03:58.582 --> 00:04:01.242
Michelle Fern: Be sure to check out chefpaw.com.
00:04:01.242 --> 00:04:03.782
Michelle Fern: Cheryl, I have to tell you about Jaswer's Pets.
00:04:03.782 --> 00:04:09.902
Michelle Fern: They have a Squishmallows Pet Bed that is absolutely fantastic.
00:04:09.902 --> 00:04:10.842
Michelle Fern: Isn't that a fun name?
00:04:10.842 --> 00:04:11.682
Michelle Fern: Squishmallows?
00:04:11.682 --> 00:04:12.482
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, I like that.
00:04:12.482 --> 00:04:19.822
Cheryl Kaye: You know, I saw on the Internet that somebody's dog went to lay in the cat's bed.
00:04:19.822 --> 00:04:21.742
Cheryl Kaye: That on that on that bed.
00:04:22.122 --> 00:04:24.102
Michelle Fern: Well, more for dogs than cats.
00:04:24.102 --> 00:04:29.402
Cheryl Kaye: But this was for the cat, but the dog wanted to lay in it because it was so comfy.
00:04:29.402 --> 00:04:30.742
Cheryl Kaye: He was all curled up.
00:04:30.742 --> 00:04:31.222
Michelle Fern: You know what?
00:04:31.222 --> 00:04:33.742
Michelle Fern: I want to lay in this because it's so comfy.
00:04:33.742 --> 00:04:35.982
Michelle Fern: The bed has a unique flush fabric.
00:04:35.982 --> 00:04:41.342
Michelle Fern: The bed has cushioned bolsters, which kind of give it a headrest all around it.
00:04:41.342 --> 00:04:43.242
Michelle Fern: And it's very easy to clean, too.
00:04:43.242 --> 00:04:45.182
Michelle Fern: You can just spot clean it.
00:04:45.182 --> 00:04:48.182
Michelle Fern: Very durable, because, hey, I'm using it for my cat.
00:04:48.322 --> 00:04:52.482
Michelle Fern: So one of my concerns, it was, how long will it last with my cat?
00:04:52.482 --> 00:04:55.022
Michelle Fern: But it was absolutely perfect.
00:04:55.022 --> 00:04:56.042
Michelle Fern: Perfect.
00:04:56.042 --> 00:04:57.382
Michelle Fern: Get it?
00:04:57.382 --> 00:04:59.122
Michelle Fern: Nobody woof woof.
00:04:59.122 --> 00:05:01.542
Michelle Fern: It's definitely very pet friendly.
00:05:01.542 --> 00:05:04.942
Michelle Fern: There's nothing that can be chewed off or bitten off.
00:05:04.942 --> 00:05:08.562
Michelle Fern: And it comes in a lot of sizes too.
00:05:08.562 --> 00:05:10.082
Cheryl Kaye: And different colors, right?
00:05:10.082 --> 00:05:13.042
Michelle Fern: It goes from extra small to extra large.
00:05:13.042 --> 00:05:18.982
Michelle Fern: And you can find it on Amazon, PetSmart, at jazzwars.com and Chewy.
00:05:18.982 --> 00:05:21.842
Cheryl Kaye: You know, pet beds are very important.
00:05:21.842 --> 00:05:23.082
Michelle Fern: Pet beds are important.
00:05:23.082 --> 00:05:29.702
Michelle Fern: And a good pet bed means your pet will be well rested, which means happy pet parent.
00:05:29.702 --> 00:05:30.222
Cheryl Kaye: Yes.
00:05:30.222 --> 00:05:34.602
Michelle Fern: Here's another great holiday gift for Tilly.
00:05:34.602 --> 00:05:37.142
Michelle Fern: Wagwell are freeze dried treats.
00:05:37.142 --> 00:05:38.742
Michelle Fern: They're fully cooked.
00:05:38.742 --> 00:05:41.922
Michelle Fern: I gave some to my nephew dog, Charlie.
00:05:41.922 --> 00:05:44.642
Michelle Fern: Now Charlie is really, really picky.
00:05:45.142 --> 00:05:49.602
Michelle Fern: He's kind of like a Jack Russell, Dachshund mix and solid dog.
00:05:49.602 --> 00:05:54.062
Michelle Fern: So I know he eats, but he doesn't like eat when you're looking kind of a dog.
00:05:54.062 --> 00:05:55.622
Michelle Fern: There are some like that.
00:05:55.622 --> 00:05:57.162
Michelle Fern: So he's picky.
00:05:57.162 --> 00:06:01.862
Michelle Fern: And when I brought out the treats, my brother said, forget about it, forget about it.
00:06:01.862 --> 00:06:03.602
Michelle Fern: He doesn't like anything.
00:06:03.602 --> 00:06:04.802
Michelle Fern: Forget about it.
00:06:04.802 --> 00:06:08.482
Michelle Fern: You know, Charlie gobbled up those treats so fast.
00:06:08.482 --> 00:06:14.562
Michelle Fern: They have a holiday gift box and it contains freeze dried treats of beef and cheese.
00:06:14.562 --> 00:06:16.742
Michelle Fern: That's at wagwellpet.com.
00:06:16.742 --> 00:06:17.862
Cheryl Kaye: That sounds very good.
00:06:17.862 --> 00:06:22.642
Cheryl Kaye: That's a high commodity, especially when you go to the dog park or you walk your dog.
00:06:22.642 --> 00:06:22.942
Michelle Fern: Right.
00:06:22.942 --> 00:06:24.322
Cheryl Kaye: And freeze dried.
00:06:24.322 --> 00:06:25.502
Cheryl Kaye: That's got to be great.
00:06:25.502 --> 00:06:26.882
Michelle Fern: Freeze dried is the best.
00:06:26.882 --> 00:06:32.502
Michelle Fern: It's always a little bit more than your, you know, basic treats that just sit on the shelf all the time.
00:06:32.502 --> 00:06:40.462
Michelle Fern: But as I was explaining to my brother, consider this flame and yon for your dog versus, you know, a hamburger.
00:06:42.842 --> 00:06:45.022
Cheryl Kaye: I mean, Tilly sometimes eats better than me.
00:06:45.022 --> 00:06:46.622
Cheryl Kaye: So the flame and yon.
00:06:46.622 --> 00:06:52.602
Cheryl Kaye: And now we have also Chumate, which helps remove the plaque from your dog's teeth.
00:06:52.602 --> 00:07:14.762
Cheryl Kaye: And I have to say, it's very important to make sure that there is no plaque on your dog's teeth because it could get into other parts of your dog and they could be illnesses because the teeth are the eyes of the window to the soul, our teeth, and especially in our dogs because dogs and cats do everything with their mouth.
00:07:14.762 --> 00:07:15.242
Cheryl Kaye: That's like-
00:07:15.242 --> 00:07:16.602
Michelle Fern: They're all about oral.
00:07:16.602 --> 00:07:18.422
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, they're orals.
00:07:18.422 --> 00:07:19.882
Michelle Fern: They're all about oral.
00:07:19.882 --> 00:07:29.102
Michelle Fern: But you know what I love about Chumate too, is it was designed by a human dentist, a dentist that works on people.
00:07:29.102 --> 00:07:43.982
Michelle Fern: And he had dogs and he wanted, he could brush his dog's teeth, but brushing a dog's teeth, I mean, I remember brushing Zeus' teeth and he let me, but he was trying to like lick and move the brushes.
00:07:43.982 --> 00:07:45.082
Michelle Fern: I'm trying to brush it.
00:07:45.082 --> 00:07:47.082
Michelle Fern: So I never enjoyed it.
00:07:47.082 --> 00:07:48.942
Michelle Fern: It was always a pain in the neck.
00:07:48.942 --> 00:07:52.402
Michelle Fern: And what's cool about Chumate is they just bite into it.
00:07:52.402 --> 00:08:06.362
Michelle Fern: And the way the little grooves are on the Chumate, the way the grooves are on the Chumate, it takes off the plaque, which as you said before, is so important because plaque on teeth can lead to other diseases.
00:08:06.362 --> 00:08:09.782
Cheryl Kaye: You could have loose gums, and that's where diseases come from.
00:08:09.782 --> 00:08:10.902
Michelle Fern: Exactly.
00:08:10.902 --> 00:08:13.862
Cheryl Kaye: Okay, so everybody's gonna get some of that.
00:08:13.862 --> 00:08:24.802
Michelle Fern: Yeah, and what's cool about Chumate is it's designed with holes in it, but you can also put something inside like peanut butter or something like that to engage your pooch.
00:08:24.802 --> 00:08:29.362
Michelle Fern: So they go ahead and play with it and chomp on it and get the plaque off.
00:08:29.602 --> 00:08:34.362
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, you put peanut butter on it and they'll just chew and chew and chew, and that's great.
00:08:34.362 --> 00:08:37.002
Cheryl Kaye: And the next up, this is terrific.
00:08:37.002 --> 00:08:38.902
Cheryl Kaye: It's called Party Animal.
00:08:38.902 --> 00:08:41.762
Cheryl Kaye: And I have to say, it's such a great kit.
00:08:41.762 --> 00:08:46.302
Cheryl Kaye: If everything comes, they even have little sticks and it's personalized.
00:08:46.302 --> 00:08:48.222
Cheryl Kaye: So they have a picture of your dog.
00:08:48.222 --> 00:08:54.482
Cheryl Kaye: If you want to stick the sticks in the cake instead of candles, because that's ridiculous with dogs.
00:08:54.482 --> 00:08:56.262
Cheryl Kaye: They don't know how to blow anything out.
00:08:57.402 --> 00:09:02.102
Michelle Fern: But what I liked about Party Animal is we go all out for our pooches, right?
00:09:02.102 --> 00:09:08.002
Michelle Fern: We make them birthday parties and our cats, we make them birthday parties and all kinds of things.
00:09:08.002 --> 00:09:13.142
Michelle Fern: And what they do is they take your dog or cat's picture and put it on these things.
00:09:13.142 --> 00:09:17.542
Michelle Fern: So you have like a little hat with your dog's picture, bandana with your dog.
00:09:17.542 --> 00:09:19.742
Cheryl Kaye: Oh yeah, bandana and a scarf.
00:09:19.742 --> 00:09:20.462
Cheryl Kaye: It's everything.
00:09:20.662 --> 00:09:21.942
Michelle Fern: It's like everything.
00:09:21.942 --> 00:09:23.282
Michelle Fern: They send you balloons.
00:09:23.282 --> 00:09:26.982
Michelle Fern: It's like a whole party in a box and personalized for your dog.
00:09:26.982 --> 00:09:31.302
Cheryl Kaye: I think it's terrific because we were celebrating birthdays.
00:09:31.302 --> 00:09:35.162
Cheryl Kaye: We don't really know unless you got a puppy, but you know the gotcha day.
00:09:35.162 --> 00:09:37.762
Cheryl Kaye: The gotcha day is the day they were adopted.
00:09:37.762 --> 00:09:40.042
Cheryl Kaye: So this is a really good gift.
00:09:40.042 --> 00:09:41.002
Cheryl Kaye: Don't go anywhere.
00:09:41.002 --> 00:09:42.022
Cheryl Kaye: We'll be right back.

Michelle Fern: Have you heard of Swaggles?
00:11:22.671 --> 00:11:25.191
Michelle Fern: It's a swuggy pet carrier.
00:11:25.191 --> 00:11:26.891
Cheryl Kaye: I can't say that fast.
00:11:26.891 --> 00:11:27.831
Michelle Fern: Swaggles.
00:11:27.831 --> 00:11:29.791
Cheryl Kaye: Swaggles, swuggy, sling.
00:11:29.791 --> 00:11:33.711
Michelle Fern: No, it's Swaggles, swuggy, pet carrier.
00:11:33.711 --> 00:11:43.491
Michelle Fern: This is cool because it's all cloth, it's very breathable, and it's a carrier that you can use for your dog or for your cat.
00:11:43.791 --> 00:11:46.591
Michelle Fern: It's good for pets under 12 pounds.
00:11:46.591 --> 00:11:50.651
Cheryl Kaye: It's good for animals that have anxiety and disabilities.
00:11:50.651 --> 00:11:52.191
Cheryl Kaye: So they can be close to you.
00:11:52.191 --> 00:11:54.031
Michelle Fern: Yeah, Mark, take out the part with zipper.
00:11:54.031 --> 00:12:04.511
Michelle Fern: It's great for dogs that have anxiety because you have them close to you or dogs that are disabled and can't walk long distances.
00:12:04.511 --> 00:12:17.711
Cheryl Kaye: And for us, the way it's created, the way it goes on the shoulder, it's evenly dispersed where it's not like you're going to have one shoulder hanging down from the weight of the animal.
00:12:17.751 --> 00:12:23.911
Michelle Fern: Well, you're not going to need to see a chiropractor after, most likely because the weight's even dispersed, as you said.
00:12:23.911 --> 00:12:25.811
Cheryl Kaye: You'll have to go lay in that bed.
00:12:25.811 --> 00:12:26.611
Michelle Fern: Yes.
00:12:26.611 --> 00:12:27.711
Michelle Fern: Yes, you will.
00:12:27.711 --> 00:12:28.431
Michelle Fern: Okay.
00:12:28.431 --> 00:12:31.311
Michelle Fern: Cheryl, what else do we have exciting for the holidays?
00:12:31.311 --> 00:12:32.471
Cheryl Kaye: Hornyx.
00:12:32.471 --> 00:12:35.411
Cheryl Kaye: This to me is fabulous.
00:12:35.411 --> 00:12:36.671
Cheryl Kaye: This is a helmet.
00:12:36.671 --> 00:12:38.051
Cheryl Kaye: You have to have the app.
00:12:38.051 --> 00:12:39.671
Cheryl Kaye: You could put music in.
00:12:39.671 --> 00:12:41.211
Cheryl Kaye: It's like white noise.
00:12:41.211 --> 00:12:42.591
Cheryl Kaye: Even the way we do it.
00:12:42.831 --> 00:12:49.791
Cheryl Kaye: You know, humans, for animals that can't take the thunder or the fireworks.
00:12:49.791 --> 00:12:54.711
Cheryl Kaye: I mean, with Tilly, she didn't go out for three days because it goes on that long.
00:12:54.711 --> 00:12:56.831
Cheryl Kaye: And it's not just the smell.
00:12:56.831 --> 00:12:57.771
Cheryl Kaye: It hurts the ears.
00:12:57.771 --> 00:12:59.091
Cheryl Kaye: It hurts my ears.
00:12:59.091 --> 00:13:00.571
Cheryl Kaye: And even thunder.
00:13:00.571 --> 00:13:02.131
Michelle Fern: I love Hornyx.
00:13:02.131 --> 00:13:05.731
Michelle Fern: They're noise canceling headphones for your dog.
00:13:05.731 --> 00:13:10.211
Michelle Fern: And I love how it looks too because it's kind of, to me, it looks like a jughead hat.
00:13:10.211 --> 00:13:10.651
Cheryl Kaye: Oh, yeah.
00:13:10.651 --> 00:13:11.991
Cheryl Kaye: And it comes in all different colors.
00:13:12.831 --> 00:13:13.651
Cheryl Kaye: And it's soft.
00:13:13.651 --> 00:13:13.931
Cheryl Kaye: It's real.
00:13:13.931 --> 00:13:15.571
Michelle Fern: And different sizes.
00:13:15.571 --> 00:13:31.811
Michelle Fern: And I love the fact that there's actually little speakers inside, because with the noise, whether it's white noise or you can use some soothing tones and they have suggestions for what kind of music, your dog will calm down because not all dogs, you know, there's other things that might work.
00:13:31.811 --> 00:13:33.151
Michelle Fern: There's thunder shirts.
00:13:33.151 --> 00:13:35.831
Michelle Fern: There's, you know, sprays.
00:13:35.831 --> 00:13:37.771
Michelle Fern: But sometimes those don't work for your dog.
00:13:38.171 --> 00:13:42.591
Michelle Fern: So Pawnex is a great option if those don't work for your dog.
00:13:42.591 --> 00:13:43.751
Cheryl Kaye: It's not a problem.
00:13:43.751 --> 00:13:48.011
Cheryl Kaye: If Tilly let me put it on her head, it'll be ready for anybody.
00:13:48.011 --> 00:13:50.351
Michelle Fern: Tilly looks freaking adorable with it on.
00:13:50.811 --> 00:13:52.451
Cheryl Kaye: You know, she loves it.
00:13:52.451 --> 00:14:00.651
Michelle Fern: So speaking of Tilly and all the dogs out there, what is one of the best gifts to get for the holidays?
00:14:00.651 --> 00:14:01.991
Michelle Fern: Ornaments, right?
00:14:01.991 --> 00:14:05.051
Michelle Fern: So Joy to the World has collectible ornaments.
00:14:05.411 --> 00:14:09.531
Michelle Fern: They have a huge assortment of dog ornaments.
00:14:09.531 --> 00:14:13.391
Michelle Fern: They have over 750 styles and breeds.
00:14:13.391 --> 00:14:16.531
Michelle Fern: They also have a few cats for all my cat listeners.
00:14:16.531 --> 00:14:19.471
Michelle Fern: And Cheryl, yeah, your cat listeners.
00:14:19.471 --> 00:14:22.791
Michelle Fern: What I love is that it's handcrafted, hand-painted.
00:14:22.791 --> 00:14:27.131
Michelle Fern: It's a woman-owned brand, and they've been in business over 25 years.
00:14:27.131 --> 00:14:28.811
Cheryl Kaye: And it takes them a day to make it.
00:14:28.811 --> 00:14:29.451
Michelle Fern: A day?
00:14:29.451 --> 00:14:30.151
Cheryl Kaye: A day.
00:14:30.151 --> 00:14:33.551
Michelle Fern: 24 hours for one ornament, and they're gorgeous.
00:14:33.951 --> 00:14:35.011
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, they are gorgeous.
00:14:35.011 --> 00:14:41.551
Cheryl Kaye: And that's a wonderful gift, especially for people who maybe have gotten a new pet for the holidays.
00:14:41.551 --> 00:14:50.671
Cheryl Kaye: Not for the holidays, but during the year and then when you go to their house for the holidays, I think that that's something that they'll always have.
00:14:50.671 --> 00:14:51.851
Cheryl Kaye: That's a nice gift.
00:14:51.851 --> 00:14:52.671
Michelle Fern: Yes.
00:14:52.671 --> 00:14:54.971
Michelle Fern: Do you ever go bike with Tilly?
00:14:54.971 --> 00:14:55.511
Cheryl Kaye: No.
00:14:55.511 --> 00:14:56.011
Michelle Fern: No.
00:14:56.011 --> 00:14:58.951
Cheryl Kaye: I'd like to, but I think it would be dangerous.
00:14:58.951 --> 00:15:01.371
Cheryl Kaye: I know a lot of people have, they hold the leash.
00:15:01.831 --> 00:15:09.491
Michelle Fern: So, this next item is a great gift for all of the people, anyone that bikes and has their dog with them.
00:15:09.491 --> 00:15:15.491
Michelle Fern: And it's a great gift for anyone that's in a mobile chair that wants to have their dog with them.
00:15:15.491 --> 00:15:26.711
Michelle Fern: The inventor actually created it because he had an accident with his dog, a bad accident because he was biking and holding the dog on a leash, a regular leash.
00:15:26.711 --> 00:15:32.411
Michelle Fern: It's called the bike tow leash, and it solves the problem of biking with your dog.
00:15:32.411 --> 00:15:37.411
Michelle Fern: And you could use it with a bicycle, you could use it with the adult tricycles.
00:15:37.411 --> 00:15:40.331
Michelle Fern: I wouldn't use it with a kid's tricycle, not of course not.
00:15:40.331 --> 00:15:42.731
Michelle Fern: And it's not for kids' bikes, it's for adult bikes.
00:15:42.731 --> 00:15:44.611
Cheryl Kaye: No, but it keeps the dog away.
00:15:44.611 --> 00:15:48.891
Cheryl Kaye: It's not like the dog is attached, but it's attached to the tow bar.
00:15:48.891 --> 00:15:51.591
Michelle Fern: It's attached, the assembly is very easy.
00:15:51.591 --> 00:15:56.551
Michelle Fern: They're very consumer friendly as far as if you need any help in putting it on.
00:15:56.671 --> 00:15:59.731
Michelle Fern: But I did it, and I'm not that handy, you know?
00:15:59.731 --> 00:16:05.211
Michelle Fern: And so you can put it on your bicycle, your adult tricycle, a mobile chair.
00:16:05.211 --> 00:16:08.411
Michelle Fern: And what it does is it extends out.
00:16:08.411 --> 00:16:13.471
Michelle Fern: So it's like almost an arm, and you can have even two dogs on the leash.
00:16:13.471 --> 00:16:20.271
Michelle Fern: Yeah, it makes it safe because there's really, I mean, this is the safest way to bike with your dogs.
00:16:20.271 --> 00:16:23.791
Michelle Fern: It's even been approved by the American Pet Association.
00:16:24.231 --> 00:16:30.151
Michelle Fern: It's the only, actually it's the only American Pet Association approved dog bike attachment.
00:16:30.151 --> 00:16:34.251
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, you have to be very careful if you want to bike with your dog.
00:16:34.251 --> 00:16:35.991
Michelle Fern: That's why you need the bug toe leash.
00:16:35.991 --> 00:16:42.051
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, because you don't know, if your dog is, a lunge at something, so you have to be careful.
00:16:42.051 --> 00:16:44.451
Cheryl Kaye: So this sounds like I'm not there yet.
00:16:44.451 --> 00:16:46.471
Cheryl Kaye: I'm still learning to walk.
00:16:47.671 --> 00:16:55.171
Michelle Fern: So once you master walking, we'll get you one of these adult trikes, and you can attach Tilly to it.
00:16:55.331 --> 00:17:04.271
Michelle Fern: What I love too is that it's good for the human also, because if you're holding your dog on a regular leash and trying to bike, that means one hand on the bike.
00:17:04.271 --> 00:17:05.991
Cheryl Kaye: And you're not paying attention.
00:17:05.991 --> 00:17:07.571
Michelle Fern: It's not safe for you.
00:17:07.571 --> 00:17:10.151
Michelle Fern: And the other thing is it's distracting.
00:17:10.151 --> 00:17:11.851
Cheryl Kaye: You know, you really gotta know what you're doing.
00:17:11.891 --> 00:17:13.431
Michelle Fern: You gotta know what you're doing.
00:17:13.431 --> 00:17:17.371
Cheryl Kaye: Especially if you have a big dog that's strong, they could take off.
00:17:17.371 --> 00:17:17.811
Cheryl Kaye: I'm not there.
00:17:17.811 --> 00:17:22.471
Michelle Fern: That's why the bug to leash is just fantastic for anyone that bikes with their dog.
00:17:22.571 --> 00:17:29.431
Cheryl Kaye: I would have to be wrapped in so many cushions to attempt to do that in case I fail.
00:17:29.431 --> 00:17:33.851
Michelle Fern: Cheryl, you can't even bike without the dog, so we're pushing it for you.
00:17:33.991 --> 00:17:36.531
Cheryl Kaye: Well, I can bike, but I haven't with Tilly.
00:17:36.531 --> 00:17:38.371
Michelle Fern: This wouldn't be the gift for you.
00:17:38.371 --> 00:17:38.731
Cheryl Kaye: No.
00:17:38.731 --> 00:17:43.051
Michelle Fern: But for me, who bikes all the time, this would be perfect.
00:17:43.051 --> 00:17:44.771
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, that would be a nice thing.
00:17:44.771 --> 00:17:49.071
Michelle Fern: Cheryl, you found something really cool for Tilly's delicate feet.
00:17:49.071 --> 00:17:50.311
Cheryl Kaye: Oh, the tiger toes.
00:17:50.871 --> 00:17:52.671
Cheryl Kaye: I used to use a sock.
00:17:52.671 --> 00:17:55.851
Cheryl Kaye: I put a sock on her and then I tape it around.
00:17:55.851 --> 00:17:58.371
Cheryl Kaye: But it didn't have the cushion on the bottom.
00:17:58.371 --> 00:18:02.751
Cheryl Kaye: These have like rubber squigglies that it's great.
00:18:02.751 --> 00:18:08.851
Cheryl Kaye: You know, black top is hot, cement is hot, and she actually let me put it on her.
00:18:08.851 --> 00:18:11.011
Cheryl Kaye: She put her paw up in the air.
00:18:11.011 --> 00:18:13.191
Cheryl Kaye: She loved it, and they could run in it.
00:18:13.191 --> 00:18:16.951
Cheryl Kaye: I haven't put it on her yet at the park, which I will do.
00:18:16.951 --> 00:18:19.371
Cheryl Kaye: And our park is great because there's turf there.
00:18:19.451 --> 00:18:25.071
Cheryl Kaye: It's not that it's high grass, but it's mostly for cement, black top.
00:18:25.071 --> 00:18:32.451
Cheryl Kaye: I think it's a great idea, and it secures with Velcro around what would be like our ankle.
00:18:32.451 --> 00:18:35.591
Cheryl Kaye: So I think that's a great idea and a great gift.
00:18:35.591 --> 00:18:36.431
Michelle Fern: Great gift.
00:18:36.431 --> 00:18:37.471
Cheryl Kaye: For yourself.
00:18:37.471 --> 00:18:37.871
Cheryl Kaye: You know what?
00:18:37.871 --> 00:18:48.111
Michelle Fern: It's also good for dogs that have mobility issues because it helps them, you know, the tiger toes grip the floor and their paws together, you know, their toes, right?
00:18:48.111 --> 00:18:49.531
Cheryl Kaye: Tilly has very long toes.
00:18:49.531 --> 00:18:51.571
Michelle Fern: For stability, it's great.
00:18:51.571 --> 00:18:52.591
Michelle Fern: And for comfort.
00:18:52.591 --> 00:18:55.851
Michelle Fern: And some dogs have sensitive paws, really sensitive.
00:18:55.851 --> 00:18:56.131
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah.
00:18:56.131 --> 00:18:59.111
Michelle Fern: They don't like to walk outside hardly at all.
00:18:59.111 --> 00:19:01.311
Cheryl Kaye: My friends are now where there's snow.
00:19:01.331 --> 00:19:02.751
Cheryl Kaye: Imagine dogs with snow.
00:19:02.751 --> 00:19:03.751
Cheryl Kaye: This would be great.
00:19:03.751 --> 00:19:04.771
Michelle Fern: Snow?
00:19:04.771 --> 00:19:05.431
Cheryl Kaye: Snow.
00:19:05.431 --> 00:19:06.931
Cheryl Kaye: You know, the one snow.
00:19:06.931 --> 00:19:09.751
Michelle Fern: Snow like snow, like it's freezing snow.
00:19:09.751 --> 00:19:10.231
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah.
00:19:10.231 --> 00:19:11.151
Michelle Fern: That's what he said.
00:19:11.151 --> 00:19:11.631
Michelle Fern: Snow.
00:19:11.631 --> 00:19:11.811
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah.
00:19:12.151 --> 00:19:14.951
Michelle Fern: So tiger toes, you can use in the snow also?
00:19:14.951 --> 00:19:15.611
Cheryl Kaye: I think so.
00:19:15.611 --> 00:19:23.491
Cheryl Kaye: I mean, not deep snow, but you could walk on it, you know, especially because, you know, extreme cold or heat is not good.
00:19:23.491 --> 00:19:25.291
Cheryl Kaye: It's affects their pores.
00:19:25.291 --> 00:19:35.951
Michelle Fern: You brought up a good point because even if they're not walking actually on the snow, what happens, and it's been a long time since I lived in a place that had snow consistently.
00:19:36.251 --> 00:19:40.451
Michelle Fern: But what happens is, what do they use to de-ice when it snows?
00:19:40.451 --> 00:19:41.071
Michelle Fern: Salt.
00:19:41.111 --> 00:19:45.271
Michelle Fern: And salt is really bad for your dog's paw, it dries it out.
00:19:45.271 --> 00:19:48.211
Michelle Fern: So tiger toes would be great in that case.
00:19:48.211 --> 00:19:49.131
Cheryl Kaye: Definitely.
00:19:49.131 --> 00:20:10.771
Cheryl Kaye: But you know, I want to just tell our listeners, if you want to really pamper your pet for yourself, you could make tea, I was told this by Yvette, you could make a pot of tea, put it in the refrigerator and with a paintbrush in between your dog's toes and on the bottom of their paws.
00:20:10.771 --> 00:20:21.571
Cheryl Kaye: And it really gets out all the gunk and it's almost like, you know, for cleaning your dog's feet, you can use tea, tea, strong pot of tea, and then the liquid.
00:20:21.571 --> 00:20:23.291
Cheryl Kaye: Tea is wonderful for everything.
00:20:23.291 --> 00:20:25.051
Michelle Fern: I'd rather have tiger toes.
00:20:25.051 --> 00:20:30.631
Michelle Fern: If I'm out walking my dog and it's hot or cold, and then I have to come in.
00:20:30.631 --> 00:20:34.051
Michelle Fern: Well, first of all, if I have tiger toes, I don't need to worry about making a pot of tea.
00:20:34.591 --> 00:20:40.491
Michelle Fern: Otherwise, I have to make sure I have a pot of tea, and then I have to find a place to take the tea.
00:20:40.491 --> 00:20:42.591
Cheryl Kaye: Oh, but it has nothing to do with the other.
00:20:42.611 --> 00:20:44.131
Cheryl Kaye: One is for outside.
00:20:44.131 --> 00:20:48.651
Cheryl Kaye: You're not going to wear the tiger toes all the time in the house, unless you live in a hotel.
00:20:48.651 --> 00:20:52.911
Michelle Fern: The other one is for inside, so you'd use tea to clean your dog's paws.
00:20:52.911 --> 00:20:58.731
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah, if you want to just maintain their pads, really take a beating.
00:20:58.731 --> 00:21:00.451
Michelle Fern: So then you have to wash off the tea.
00:21:01.371 --> 00:21:04.171
Cheryl Kaye: No, it's not like a dunking nip or in it.
00:21:04.171 --> 00:21:06.791
Cheryl Kaye: You're giving like a little pad.
00:21:06.791 --> 00:21:08.391
Michelle Fern: So it's like a pedicure with tea?
00:21:08.391 --> 00:21:09.071
Cheryl Kaye: Yeah.
00:21:09.071 --> 00:21:14.531
Cheryl Kaye: And then they have all of this stuff that you could rub in there on their bottom.
00:21:14.531 --> 00:21:15.151
Michelle Fern: Bomb?
00:21:15.151 --> 00:21:15.851
Cheryl Kaye: Bomb.
00:21:15.851 --> 00:21:16.331
Cheryl Kaye: Bomb.
00:21:16.331 --> 00:21:17.531
Cheryl Kaye: B-A-L-M.
00:21:17.531 --> 00:21:19.231
Michelle Fern: That's a hard word.
00:21:19.251 --> 00:21:21.651
Cheryl Kaye: I was trying to figure out how to say it.
00:21:21.651 --> 00:21:22.211
Cheryl Kaye: Bomb.
00:21:22.211 --> 00:21:23.391
Cheryl Kaye: It could be-
00:21:23.391 --> 00:21:24.351
Michelle Fern: Bomb.
00:21:24.351 --> 00:21:25.411
Michelle Fern: Like they have-
00:21:26.051 --> 00:21:30.151
Michelle Fern: Paw bomb, there's nose bomb for dogs, because remember Mr.
00:21:30.151 --> 00:21:32.191
Michelle Fern: Z always had a crackly nose.
00:21:32.191 --> 00:21:34.891
Michelle Fern: Bomb is a nice gift too for the stockings.
00:21:34.891 --> 00:21:35.311
Michelle Fern: Okay.
00:21:35.311 --> 00:21:42.111
Michelle Fern: So we're almost out of time, Cheryl, but I have to tell you about, we're talking about cats because you know I'm a cat house now.
00:21:42.111 --> 00:21:46.791
Michelle Fern: There's a new hardcover cat book out called Cats of the World.
00:21:46.791 --> 00:21:55.991
Michelle Fern: It's by Hannah Shaw, aka Kitten Lady and Andrew Martilla, her husband, aka the cat photographer.
00:21:55.991 --> 00:21:57.651
Michelle Fern: This is a gorgeous book.
00:21:57.651 --> 00:21:59.471
Michelle Fern: Like I said, it's hardcover.
00:21:59.471 --> 00:22:00.951
Michelle Fern: It's a great gift.
00:22:00.951 --> 00:22:03.691
Michelle Fern: This is something for all the cat lovers.
00:22:03.691 --> 00:22:12.031
Michelle Fern: What they actually did was they visited these countries and to explore feline welfare and cat culture around the world.
00:22:12.031 --> 00:22:16.271
Michelle Fern: So there's great pictures and then there's also, you know, information.
00:22:16.411 --> 00:22:26.551
Michelle Fern: So you get to see how cats lived in Greece, how cats live in, you know, places that are very different from how we are in the US.
00:22:26.551 --> 00:22:28.851
Michelle Fern: So it really was an eye-opener.
00:22:28.851 --> 00:22:34.331
Michelle Fern: There's all kinds of countries, UK, South Africa, Asia.
00:22:34.331 --> 00:22:36.731
Michelle Fern: I know Asia is not a, you know, country.
00:22:36.731 --> 00:22:39.871
Michelle Fern: It's a continent, but Asia, you name it, it's there.
00:22:39.871 --> 00:22:48.971
Michelle Fern: The pictures, of course, are gorgeous, because Andrew is an amazing photographer, and Hannah knows how to, they both do actually know how to interact with.
00:22:48.971 --> 00:22:50.831
Cheryl Kaye: But they're a nice gift for the holidays.
00:22:50.831 --> 00:22:52.771
Michelle Fern: Yeah, it's a wonderful gift.
00:22:52.771 --> 00:22:54.471
Michelle Fern: And you can get it at Amazon.
00:22:54.471 --> 00:23:06.391
Cheryl Kaye: I just want to remind our listeners that with the party animals, a portion of whatever they get, they give to shelters and charities for animals.
00:23:06.391 --> 00:23:15.831
Michelle Fern: A lot of our gifts also have a charitable aspect to them and do a donation of some sort to shelters or charities.
00:23:15.831 --> 00:23:17.591
Michelle Fern: For example, Cats of the World.
00:23:17.591 --> 00:23:22.611
Michelle Fern: Hannah Shaw runs, I think it's called the Little Bitty Kitten Club.
00:23:22.611 --> 00:23:24.891
Michelle Fern: And she rescues kittens.
00:23:24.891 --> 00:23:27.171
Michelle Fern: And she's been doing that for years.
00:23:27.171 --> 00:23:31.931
Michelle Fern: She's really popular in social media, as known as Kitten Lady.
00:23:31.931 --> 00:23:34.291
Michelle Fern: And she does just so much work.
00:23:34.291 --> 00:23:37.231
Michelle Fern: And taking care of kittens is so challenging.
00:23:37.231 --> 00:23:39.171
Michelle Fern: These are abandoned kittens.
00:23:39.171 --> 00:23:40.751
Michelle Fern: It's amazing what she's done.
00:23:41.351 --> 00:23:45.471
Michelle Fern: And I know Chef Paw also has some charitable contributions as well.
00:23:45.471 --> 00:23:47.131
Cheryl Kaye: Okay, that's wonderful.
00:23:47.131 --> 00:23:51.771
Michelle Fern: So Cheryl, do you think you have enough gifts for those pet lovers in your life?
00:23:51.771 --> 00:23:52.751
Michelle Fern: Enough choices?
00:23:52.751 --> 00:23:54.771
Cheryl Kaye: I really like the ornaments.
00:23:54.771 --> 00:23:58.971
Cheryl Kaye: I want to go online and look at their ornaments, because that's a nice gift.
00:23:58.971 --> 00:24:00.511
Cheryl Kaye: The book is a nice gift.
00:24:00.511 --> 00:24:01.931
Michelle Fern: The book is gorgeous.
00:24:01.931 --> 00:24:03.131
Michelle Fern: Cats of the World.
00:24:03.131 --> 00:24:05.011
Michelle Fern: Chef Paw is amazing.
00:24:05.011 --> 00:24:06.991
Michelle Fern: There's so many wonderful gifts.
00:24:06.991 --> 00:24:08.851
Cheryl Kaye: So there's something for everyone.
00:24:09.211 --> 00:24:09.651
Cheryl Kaye: Right.
00:24:09.651 --> 00:24:11.431
Michelle Fern: And everyone listening.
00:24:11.431 --> 00:24:18.471
Michelle Fern: So if you're listening and you're working out, you know, or in the car and you're thinking, oh, how am I going to find all these gifts?
00:24:18.471 --> 00:24:24.171
Michelle Fern: Go to Pet Life Radio, go to Best Bets for Pets, or Unleashed by Cheryl Kaye.
00:24:24.171 --> 00:24:26.171
Michelle Fern: For every show, there's an episode page.
00:24:26.171 --> 00:24:29.451
Michelle Fern: And on that page, there'll be links to all the products.
00:24:29.451 --> 00:24:31.391
Michelle Fern: So we make it super easy for you.
00:24:31.391 --> 00:24:32.111
Cheryl Kaye: Right.
00:24:32.111 --> 00:24:32.551
Cheryl Kaye: Right.
00:24:32.551 --> 00:24:33.791
Cheryl Kaye: Well, this was fun.
00:24:33.791 --> 00:24:35.211
Cheryl Kaye: Thank you, everybody.
00:24:35.211 --> 00:24:36.371
Cheryl Kaye: It was a fun show.
00:24:36.371 --> 00:24:38.571
Cheryl Kaye: I love these shows because I always laugh.
00:24:38.871 --> 00:24:44.071
Cheryl Kaye: I want to thank Michelle Fern for doing this with me on till our fourth one.
00:24:44.071 --> 00:24:45.931
Michelle Fern: Thanks so much for having me on.
00:24:45.931 --> 00:24:48.071
Cheryl Kaye: I want to thank my producer, Mark.
00:24:48.071 --> 00:24:50.711
Cheryl Kaye: I want to thank Tilly for being a good girl.
00:24:50.711 --> 00:24:53.651
Cheryl Kaye: And remember to live life unleashed.
00:24:53.651 --> 00:24:54.551
