Tony Barber

Tony Barber, producer and bassist for The Buzzcocks (as well as Chelsea, The Creation, The Glen Matlock Band, Go Kart Mozart, and a litany of others) has been in music his whole life. Heavily influenced by the politics and activism at the forefront of the punk movement in late Seventies London, Tony expects music to have a social responsibility. Through Tony’s efforts alone, he was able to persuade management and have a benefit T-shirt designed by his fiancée, Andrea, sold at the Pearl Jame/Buzzcocks show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in July 2003. Over $14,000 raised by the sale of the T-shirt was used by Rational Animal to film the first public service announcements for the Mayor’s Alliance for New York City’s Animals in 2005.
