Shirley Murphy

Shirley Murphy

Shirley Murphy has been involved in dog sports for the last 25 years.  In that time, she has trained all 5 of her papillons to obedience titles, and the 3 youngest to agility titles.  Willie, her most accomplished Papillon to-date, has 2 AKC Master Agility Championships, a UKC Grand Agility Championship, and 2 Utility Dog Excellent titles.  Willie has competed in three AKC National Agility Championships, finishing in the top 25% of his jump height in his final appearance. 

Shirley has taught obedience and mentored new obedience competitors for 25 years, and she has done the same in agility for the last 7 years.  Over the years, she has taken a lead role in her obedience and agility clubs, including rewriting and updating instructor manuals in both sports, and she was the Agility Trial Chair for the 2008 Papillon National Specialty.
