Jeff Marginean

Jeff Marginean

Jeff Marginean is a dog dad, writer, musician, and music producer. He is a member of the Dog Writers Association of America and a voting member of the National Academy for Recording Arts and Sciences, Inc., for the Grammy Awards. He is president and CEO of JEMAR Entertainment, Inc., and Frog & Scorpion Records Corporation. He is a mild-mannered process control engineer by day and an author/artist by night. He lives in a nice, quiet city in Ohio with his new dog son Butch. He loves working outdoors and gets his best ideas while mowing the lawn!

Music Producer

Jeff has been writing and producing music for 20 years. He is a nationally released producer and also a voting member of the National Academy for Recording Arts and Sciences for the annual Grammy Awards. He has also produced many live shows ranging from Rock concerts to large corporate talent shows benefitting the United Way. With 8 full length releases to his credit, his musical tastes range from rock to classical and mainstream to indie artists. As CEO of Frog & Scorpion Records since 1999, Marginean has been involved in vitually all aspects of the business at one time or another.

Writer

Well versed in many topics, Marginean has, in the past, limited his writing ability to technical applications and legal contracts for the record label. That is, until now. Unleashing (so to speak) his creative writing ability with his first non-fiction title "My Buddy Butch - Confessions of a New Dog Dad," he tells the story of how one little 4 legged life can so deeply impact one human being. Currently working on a series of short stories and the sequel to My Buddy Butch, he has outlines for 2 other fiction titles also. Being prolific, Jeff has never had a problem with ideas, in his words "it's finding the time for the development of those ideas that is the hard part. Working with an idea long enough to know if there is enough substance there to make a good story is every writer's double edged sword. If the idea stinks it's possible that you've just wasted a lot of time. It's the other side of the coin that keeps you going. The rush you get seeing the possibilities take shape in any project, whether it is producing, writing music, or writing a book."
