Brenda Bax

 

Brenda is the Director of Purina’s Pets for People business within the Nestlé Purina Petcare Company.  Pets for People is Purina’s initiative to connect consumers and retail customers with the work of animal welfare and how pets help human health and wellness.   

Brenda’s previous work experience was widely varied and included manufacturing, marketing and sales - all preparing her well for the innovative and challenging work she is responsible for now at Purina.  She began her career as a chemical engineer, with Procter & Gamble, in the laundry detergent and cleaning products category moving through increasing levels of responsibility in production, distribution, logistics and high performing teams.  Brenda then joined Procter & Gamble’s marketing organization, in the paper division working as a product manager on the Always brand (feminine protection) and then the Charmin brand.  Brenda moved on to Purina in 1999 as Director of Business Integration within Sales and followed with assignments back in the marketing function as a brand director on the Dog Chow and Friskies brands.  In early 2005, Brenda took on her new responsibilities with Purina Pets for People.

Brenda has an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla (ChE’86).  She is happily married, has three fantastic children, 2 dogs and 3 cats.
