BIO:

Debra Jo Chiapuzio began her professional career as a medical tattoo artist specializing in burn survivors.  This interest in medicine and love of animals inspired her to become a Pet CPR and Pet First Aid Instructor.  Her very special spokes-dog, Emma Zen, then led her back to working with fire survivors, but this time with pets!

Debra Jo created the Emma Zen Foundation, with the mission of supplying Oxygen masks and Emergency Training for pets to First Responders!  She has delivered over 8,000 Oxygen masks nationwide and has saved countless animals.  Her work led to a CNN Hero of the Year Award Nomination, a Feature story in People Magazine and, from Supreme Master Ching Hai, the International “Shining World Compassion Award” in recognition for compassionate care and for benevolently saving animals.
