BIO:
Born and raised in New York, Nicole became an entrepreneur at an early age. Always eager to find ways to turn five dollars into ten, she created a designer resale company netting tens of thousands before she had finished the eighth grade. Nicole began her career in film during high school and at 17 she attended The Juilliard School for Opera. During her time in film she appeared in various television productions such as All My Children, 30 Rock, Gossip Girl and has been featured in films directed by Woody Allen, Wes Craven, Marc Lawrence and others. She has also spent time behind the camera, having created, produced and sold a TV pilot to E! Network.
Animals have always been an essential passion for Nicole. In 2014 she launched a boutique pet matchmaking service that helped adopters find their dream pets in shelters across America. Over the years, the service grew into a 501c3 nonprofit—a foster-based pet rescue called “ Chic Chien Chateau,” which has been featured in The New Yorker. By focusing on saving pets from impoverished areas and moving them to affluent ones, Nicole's rescue was able to raise additional capital for a special fund that saved dogs with life-threatening illnesses on death row.
Nicole's extensive experience in the pet rescue industry highlighted the pain centered around the inefficiencies and archaic nature of the adoption process. She spent countless hours tracking down references, weeding through incomplete or ineligible applications, and responding to never-ending email inquiries and phone calls. This pushed Nicole to create her own solution: Rescue Spot.
