Just because your pet has never had its teeth brush before, doesn’t mean it can’t be done. Though brushing a pet’s teeth is the gold standard for proper oral hygiene other options exist that will help your pet nibble away at dental disease.
Dr. Andrew Schreibman, a senior technical services veterinarian for Merial will reveal how foul breath can pollute the entire body with disease causing organisms and could potentially shorten your pet’s lifespan. He will also share some easy tasty steps to prevent it.

Dr. Schreibman brings over 20 years of diverse education and experience in veterinary medicine built from multiple disciplines – clinical, research, emergency, academia, and industry. His roles include emergency and relief veterinarian, assistant professor / anatomic pathology resident, and senior product manager. He has received Merial’s prestigious Vital Circle Award and has authored and co-authored several publications and scientific presentations. In his current role Dr. Schreibman educates and presents information to colleges, corporate accounts, local associations, sales distributor partners, and individual practices. Within Merial he is the go-to person for literature review. Additionally he served on the Licensing Examination Committee of the California Veterinary Medical Board. Passionate about continuous learning and evidence-based medicine, Dr. Schreibman is always seeking opportunities to provide the best education to everyone from pre-veterinary students to specialized Key Opinion Leaders.
Dr. Schreibman achieved his DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University, completed a residency program in Anatomic Patholgy at the University of Missouri, and served as a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Intern at the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine with the University of Illinois.
