Dr Adam Christman is the Chief Veterinary Officer for MJH Life Sciences, a veterinary multimedia company that oversees conferences and publications such as DVM360, Fetch & Firstline. He formerly was Co-Chief of Staff at the Brick Town Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey.
Having been born and raised in Brick, he is a true Jersey Shore guy. Dr. Christman is a huge advocate for shelter medicine and animal welfare. He firmly believes in treating every animal with the respect and dignity it rightfully deserves. As a result, he devotes some of his work to the Jersey Shore Animal Shelter. He is also a board member and elected treasurer for the New Jersey Medical Association (NJVMA), raising awareness and policies affecting veterinarians in New Jersey.
His special interests include small animal internal medicine, nutrition, and oncology. In 2004, he was awarded the Pfizer Award for Excellence in Small Animal Internal Medicine, as well as the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine Award for Excellence in Bedside Manner and the Human Animal Bond. He was also awarded the Nestle Purina Award for Outstanding Efforts in Small Animal Clinical Nutrition.
Dr. Christman is an adjunct professor at Ocean County College as well as the course coordinator for their veterinary assistant program. He has lectured throughout the country for Zoetis Animal Health on canine dermatology and practice management. He is the co-author of "Honey, Have You Squeezed The Dachshund?" - a pet owner's guide to dogs with disabilities (available on Amazon). He is the host of his YouTube Channel, "The Dr. Christman Show," and hosts his Internet-based series, "The Adam Christman Show." He is also a board member for "Pitties and Pals" Rescue Organization and recently became inducted into Brick Township High School's Hall of Fame (2018).
Dr. Christman is the proud pet dad to four adorable dachshunds (Chelsea, Connor, Carl, & Clark W. Griswold). He is an avid Disney enthusiast, along with his husband, Chris. He enjoys working out, amusement parks, Broadway, and anything involving his dogs. He is the proud uncle to his nephews, Gavin and Logan.
