Pet Problems Solved
In episode 25, Pet Problems Solved, Isabel interviews Nicole Packin, a fellow Miami girl and pet pro. Isabel asks Nicole to solve common pet problems in a Miami-inspired game called "Yo, I'll Solve It!" and pitch her vision of her new venture, The Packin Method, in a game Isabel calls “The Fish Bowl.” The episode delves into the ways Miami Pet Concierge solves common practical pet problems and how Nicole has taken her experience with canine water therapy and massage to design The Packin Method, “a mobile canine gym for the ages.” Isabel and Nicole share the importance of using our resources when it comes to caring for our pets and reaching out to companies like Miami Pet Concierge to help with pet care when we get busy. Caring for pets and their physical fitness takes a village and, thankfully, many pet pros help families do just that.
BIO:
Nicole Packin, UW-AAB, SAMP, CCWT Nicole's career working with animals began in Los Angeles, California. After graduating from the University of Miami with a double major in English and Communication, Nicole moved to the West Coast to pursue a television career. While working for the William Morris Agency, Spelling Television, and Bruckheimer Television in one hour scripted series, Nicole found an outlet for stress management by volunteering for The Amanda Foundation, a non-profit organization that rescued and rehabilitated dogs from the streets of East LA. Finding her work with dogs a life changer, Nicole moved back to Miami, Florida, intending to learn all that she could about animal welfare in her hometown. Immediately, Nicole began working for the Humane Society of Greater Miami. She was involved in all aspects of the organization's operations, fundraising and helped lead the capital campaign for the organization's Soffer-Fine Adoption Center in North Miami Beach, Florida. In 2007, Miami Pet Concierge was developed and began out of both a labor of love and need. After years of working in and around the animal shelter system, Nicole learned that one of the number one reasons pets were being given up or returned was "time," or lack thereof. With this knowledge, Nicole started a business that would help pet parents and teach pet parents how to be the best. With just a little guidance, education, and support, Nicole has had the opportunity to work hand and paw with thousands of amazing domesticated animals and their families, caring for and teaching them how to cohabitate peacefully. Continued learning is significant to Nicole. Since MPC's opening, she has continued to grow and learn as much as she can about animal health and proper pet care. When not running MPC or in school, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, Julian, and her four-legged kids, Slater (Russian Blue mix) and Kevin & Jenny (Spinone Italianos).
