BIO:
When you were a child, did you know that one person who was always saving animals? Didn't matter if they were bunnies, cats, dogs or even if the animal really needed "saving"? That was me!
I didn't even know there was such a thing as a groomer back then. I was 20 when I first heard of the idea so, I saved and saved for a few years, took the course and, since 1989 I haven't looked back. Grooming has been my life. It was and IS my passion!!
After finishing my course I apprenticed for a year under the top groomer in Victoria and, at the same time, apprenticed under The Cat Girl, number one cat groomer in Victoria. I worked in various shops as well as a vet clinic to try out different aspects of my new vocation and see which suited me the most. After learning and experiencing so many different settings, I decided to open my own business where staff and groomers would be treated fairly and, even more importantly, where every animal would be treated with compassion. Before long, we were the largest and most sought after groomers in Victoria. After many requests, I opened a school, within the business, to train groomers in my system. Yes, it made for long days, especially as a single mom, but I loved it and wouldn't have changed a thing.
Unfortunately, in 2011, health issues caused me to cease operations and move to the Lower Mainland. I worked at Posh Pooch in Pitt Meadows for 6 years and then decided to step back out on my own - but grooming dogs was too hard on my body - so I decided to focus on cats!
