Elder Dogs And The Good Work They Do For Seniors And Their Dogs

Deborah Wolfe on Pet Life Radio

Deborah Wolfe interviews Linda Osada, Dog Care Support Coordinator for Elder Dogs locally to discuss their work in many cities helping many dogs and their elderly owners.  Sometimes a dog is needing grooming, or Vet care and the senior just can’t get the dog to the place it must go and other times its walks that make all the difference.  When a senior needs to go to hospital even for something minor often the dog has nowhere to go!  Elder dog provides transport, walks, foster care, grooming, and help with getting pet supplies to the elderly when they need it most.  They have programs (they call pawds) running in several cities in Canada including in Nova Scotia and British Columbia.  If you would like to help by walking or driving  or you would like to  start a ‘pawd’ in your area please contact 1-855-336-4226 or elderdog.ca.

If you are local to the Vancouver area or nearby and can travel to collect a puppy in person, there are several st. poodle pups available for companions to families with special needs.  These pups are healthy vaccinated and ready to go to work loving you.  The price will be reflective of the family situation.  Please leave a detailed message at 604-515-2267 to ask about a companion special needs puppy. People are traveling again so Deborah’s boarding kennel is full of cute adorable dogs!
