Rita Reimers on Pet Life Radio

Alexandria (call her Alex) Ade caught Linda's eye when she posted on a local community forum in Defiance, Ohio. Alex has started her own photography business, Alexandria Hope photography, specializing in weddings, couples and elopements. But when her beloved kitty, Frank, was ill, she used her photography skills to take beautiful pictures of him before he passed. These photos are a beautiful and loving reminder of that time she shared with Frank.

The pictures she took during Frank’s passing meant so much to her that she wanted to do the same for others. Alex offers to come to homes to take pictures of ill and passing pets, so their humans can have those photographic memories as well. We were so impressed with this, but even more so once we heard that Alex offers this service for FREE! She spends her time and money to give cat loving humans this very special gift.

Even more impressive is the fact that Alex is 17 years old! Join Rita and Linda while they chat with Alex and prepare to be impressed with this young lady and her amazing heart!

Frank Project on Pet Life Radio

This is Frank!

The Frank Project is something I created in his honor! I want to use this post to tell you a little bit about Frank, and his story, I will dedicate another post to talking about the project and our goals!

Frank was a spirited young male nicknamed Frankie Beans, Frankenstein, And Bean! We loved his fur coat! It was so gorgeous the way it was a blonde color and not just orange! One of his favorite toys is the one that you see in the first picture! My fiancé @joe_shaffer_17 got it for him 💕 He also really loved this mouse on a string that we had!

Frank was one of the loviest kitties and loved giving kisses! He enjoyed sitting on my keyboard whenever I’m editing photos and playing with his brother Brandon (I’ll post a picture of Brandon later!) He was just really such a good boy and the best ever!

Unfortunately Frank developed a urinary blockage (which was really uncommon for him being only 1 year old and very likely to happen again) and we had to take him to the emergency vet N.I.V.E.S. in Fort Wayne. Here the vet worked to express urine (I think that’s how you say it) to relieve his bladder and gave him a urinary catheter. We were able to take him home overnight but noticed he was urinating frequently in very small amounts, and then eventually not at ally which was a sign that meant we needed to take him back to the vet. If we wouldn’t have taken him to the vet his bladder could have ruptured which would have been lethal and very painful.

It was in Franks best interest to be euthanized or this could have been a very common thing for him and would have led to a death by his bladder rupturing.

I’m honor of Frank I’ve started The Frank Project through @alexandriahopephotography because if I wouldn’t have taken these pictures before he passed I wouldn’t have had so much regret and don’t want other pet owners going through the same thing
